I don't use Shared Documents either. Like you, I don't see the need. I just changed the permissions so I could fully access My Documents directly. I could maybe see using Shared if your kids also had accounts on your computer and you didn't want them to have access to My Documents, but I don't even let mine use the same computer as I do. So that isn't an issue for me.

As I've always said: E-mail clients such as Eudora, etc. allow you to customize the way they work to fit your needs, whereas Outlook (and OE) allow you to customize your needs to fit they way they work. <grin> That's only half in jest. MS always seems to think they can do it better, and whether that is true or not, they try to "encourage" everyone to do it their way.

I could go on and on in that area, but I'll refrain. We've been down that road so many times before. <sigh>
