Simple, most of the AV senders use 2.4ghz, same as most most wireless networks, obviously this is one of the units that doesn't play well with wifi. His choices are to change the router or av sender.
He could switch to an 802.11a router which using 5ghz should be immune to the av sender, however that would mean getting new wireless nics unless the ones he has already support 11a, which is unlikely. Personally all the wifi nics I buy support b, a, and g for just this reason.
