Agree with Wayne on this one. My video editing machine is NOT the most 
powerful on my lan, only an Athlon XP1800+, but since it's dedicated to video 
editing, I can set the transcode to run overnight and it's done once I wake 
up. And while it's working, I can get my normal work done on my main 
workstation. Much more efficient use of my time. Even if the video editing 
machine was say a 3ghz Athlon 64, it still makes more sense to not have my 
regular work interrupted.
