Want to see something strange?

Using IE, click on <html://www.tutorialsforopenoffice.org/templates.odt>

The link should have been <http://www.tutorialsforopenoffice.org/templates.odt>

IE thinks the file is templates.ZIP!!!

One should get a save or open dialog box and I have no idea what one would get if they key in html:// instead of http:// but I do know that it messed up the link to the list. The link as it arrived here went to Page Not Found until I took the right arrow off then it gave me the open or save dialog box.

OK, I didn't run it through the "common sense" checker! Sorry.

Granted that templates *is* a zip archive, but why doesn't IE call upon OpenOffice to open the file? The ODT filetype *is* associated with OpenOffice!!

I don't know "that "templates *is* a zip archive" as my IE says it's "unknown" file type.

Even stranger. So you have no association for ODT. Interesting!!
