Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I may have identified the culprit. I recently set up this PC to go with a new Treo 700w PocketPC smart phone and I think either ActiveSync or Verizon's Wireless Sync is generating all the activity. At least it's not malware, which is what I was expecting.
