Don't know about your side of the pond!! I got a Dell Insperon 1300
Laptop for Christmas £350 inc delivery and vat. They have just
yesterday repeated the offer. 14.1" wide screen, 1400 cellery with
400Mhz FSB, 40Gb 256Mb. Runs Linux like a champ, SuSE 10.0 Dual boots
with XP-Home.

Downsides for me, no com ports, no PS2 ports. However cardbus
recognises dual port serial card under either O/S. I have yet to get
the wirless card to work under Linux though.
