that is the beauty of Eudora. However, I am talking of over 70 mailboxes.
I don't believe that OO will do the mailboxes themselves & we've not
yet gotten confirmation that is the case. Even in Eudora we can do a
Save As on a per message basis. If you want to get technical & why
would we want to do such a thing here of all places, but Eudora
already uses a NIX style plain text message store in that the MBX
files are just ASCII text. One can open them in their favorite text
editor with no problems because there is no conversion required but
unfortunately the html code is still there.
FWIW I tried the 2 plugins that I gave links to & neither seem to do
much. One strips the html as a message is received & the other IMHO
is a waste of time. Sorry about that.
What you really want is an HTML code stripper & I've found one that
does multiple files at once.
<http://www.snapfiles.com/get/killhtml.html> It works as I've tried
it with single & multiple files. Open the files but use a *.mbx mask
so you only see the actual mailboxes. Add them 1 by 1 then specify
the folder you want them in & the file extension which the default of
txt is ok as you can always rename them later. This strips all the
HTML tags from the Eudora all mailboxes in one swoop which I think is
what you are after.
This is a great util for those who save web pages but don't want all
that html raz-ma-jazz. ;-)
