This happened to me when I put a CD (picture) from Walgreens into my computer. I didn't install ANYTHING from the CD, but when I finished looking at the pictures with their viewer (apparently installed without permission), I had lost the thumbnail and filmstrip options in Windows. After fooling around with it for a half hour or so, I did a system restore back to the previous day, and the problem was solved. I even wrote Walgreens a nasty letter about it and warned my cousin (who sent me the cd) about the unwanted side effect of the program.
I know, I should be running as a user to avoid this stuff. It use to show pics, when you chose "Thumbnails" as small pictures. Now it just shows an icon for each picture. Even when I choose "Filmstrip", I don't get the pictures showing up, just the icons. I'm sure there is a setting that needs to be changed, but I'm not sure what. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! -- ---------------------------------------- WIN-HOME Archives: http://PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM/archives/WIN-HOME.html Contact the List Owner about anything: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Official Win-Home List Members Profiles Page http://www.besteffort.com/winhome/Profiles.html
