Is your wife a school teacher?

Yes, as a matter of fact, she is. I got her a 1GB flash drive a while back and she find it easier to transport files back and forth that way, unless she forgets to bring one home with her. Then she'll d/l it from the web site, and take it back with her on the flash drive. That's her system and it works for her.

Unlike you tho I have all my network drives mapped...

That might have worked OK for her here at home if I had done it from the beginning. It would probably confuse her now. She's accustomed to the shortcuts I set up for her. Such as a shortcut to My Documents on the desktop machine in the My Documents folder of the laptop machine. That also makes it easy for her to remember.

At any rate, we only have a dozen shares on our tiny network of three computers, so I just prefer using My Network Places to access them.

Interesting that you figured out she was a school teacher, though. She also generally finds me to be a better tech resource than their paid tech guy. <lol>

What if the hokey-pokey really is what it's all about?
