The HELP menu says one usually restores to the original drive but it
can be restored to a different drive.
It does not give any instructions for how to do it.
The original drive is probably the default but for a different drive
it's probably just browsing to it & if that's the case I doubt that it
would be in the help file. The fact that it can be done would tell me to
try the GUI out until the point of selecting where to restore to & if I
couldn't see a place to switch drives then I'd asked the questions. If
I asked a question every time the info wasn't complete in the help or
faq I'd be asking many more questions than I answer. Heck, many times I
have no idea what the OP is talking about until I try the situation out
for myself & because I'm willing to take a little risk & try things is
what brings me to more answers than anything else so not only do I help
those that ask but I learn something new along the way. So go for it,
take a little risk & look at the next screen, you'll probably will be
able to figure it out & this is how confidence is gained.
Thanks for the uplift.
I tried using the partition it suggested.
After a long wait of checking it said that one was no good and brought
up a new list that included most of the partitions.
I picked the one I wanted and started the process.
It got very confusing after that but I kept going.
IT gave different labels to the partitions than I had.
I gambled that even though they renamed them it would be the one I picked.
I will not know if I was right till the process completes.
Their wording is not that clear to me in their messages on the screen.
If I was wrong I will have lost a partition that was not very critical.
I started out saying the process would take 3 days.
After 15 minutes it was down to a day.
Another 15 minutes it was down to 2 hours.
It has been stuck at 2 hours for an hour now.
But the bar shows it is progressing.
