Hi~to anyone who is curious, the problem of the non working computer turned
out to be a dead power source. Either by coincidence due to age or by just a
power surge provided by the nic card to the system the power source died. To
eliminate HD failure, I swapped out the HD and it worked fine on my home
computer. I put in a new power source and the nic card again and everything
was fine. Again, thanks for all your help and suggestions. This is a really
