I did a reinstall on E (in Windows2 folder) so that the old and the new XP
are now on E.  When I can figure how to move the programs and data over,
I'll delete the one that isn't working.  Had to reinstall the 6x4x32 CDRW
burner, and the BIOS change allowed me to boot from it.  Don't know why the
LG wouldn't allow a boot.
Anyway, things are getting somewhat back to normal.  Thanks for the help.
In answer to your question, I now have 98SE on C:, XP of questionably
parentage, but which works, on D:, and two copies of XP (one of which works)
on E: (in different directories).
