OBTW what file system are you using for ME? Were you using Fat32 for
SBS as well or was that on another partition?
Thanks for the help (everyone), but I'm not sure if you (Wayne) came in late
or forgot. (Some of these threads get easy to "forget" as they drag on...)
I didn't care what I was using for the FS in ME but assume it would
be their default or at least Fat32... It would have been (originally) on a drive
over 20G or so...
I had stated the SBS was on a partition that was never included in "the Image",
and did not survive the move of the OS (ME) to the new clone...
The sad part was, I only moved off that HD because it flashed up one S.M.A.R.T.
warning and I got right off it... the really sad part is I moved from a 60 or
80G
drive back to an old 20G, just to save the system from damage.
Of course, the SBS had no place to "go" in a case like that...
I eventually deleted it, scandisked the drive (or whatever Norton 2002 SW called
it), and found and repaired four bad clusters (or units of something), and
am using the drive for other things with-out even a format or anything...
(Just deleted the files...) I am not using it for anything I care about, and
may
never trust it again... It might have been one of the VERY last Seagate one
year
drives, (which makes me very uncomfortable about all my other Seagate drives
now... (Even the five year ones...) (The only drives I had lots of trouble with
were
all Maxtors, after the bought Quantum...)
