I finally remembered where I have seen that systray icon. :)
Those are the keyboard status lights.
1) Scroll lock
2) Caps lock
3) Num lock
Any chance he is using a wireless or "fancy" keyboard?
That's gotta be it. He had a POS MicroInnovations wireless keyboard and mouse
that he got as a gift and had gone back to his old KB and M but did not
uninstall the drivers.
