Anybody intending to add or replace a hard disk drive -
Fred Langa is currently advising on the process

Note that there are 2 modes of copying a drive

The best mode is to make a true image of the drive, with the only apparent
differences being
The drive ID as noted by Windows XP activation
And that any extra space on the drive is not allocated

(Your drive imageing utility 'whatever' may allow you to expand a partition
to use that space )

The easy way is to copy the partitions from the old drive to the new one
(Your copy utility 'whatever' may allow you to expand a partition to use
that space )
