Having left Hotlanta DSL for Cowboy Town, CO DUN @ 19K transfer speeds a
year ago, my MSIE downloads stop after a certain amount of time of
downloading. For example, if I go to Buy.com which is graphic intensive
(they assume everyone is on DSL), the download of the page stops after about
3 minutes and all the graphics show a red "x" or if I go to my bank account
on line, I get the cannot find server page and have to hit "refresh". Then
it finishes loading and I can see the info.
I think I read some many years ago about a reg setting that could be changed
to increase the time MSIE loads a page before "thinking" (since MSIE does
not think) that it was not connected or found the page and showing the
"could not find server" or red x'ing the graphics.
If so, please remind me of how to increase this setting.
