It would be nice if the owner could accept the License on a new computer that has all of the updates installed. Microsoft blocks the updates early in the game, 1. By requiring authentication to proceed and 2. By requiring Validation to proceed further.

Not if you go to <http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/catalog/en/default.asp> as this is the corporate update site & all the updates should be burned to CDs or a DVD then applied to the machines so in this way the machine can be resealed. I don't know what all the fuss is about all this is described on the OEM portion of the MSFT site.

One could even have the EULA display the first time a client runs XP without XP being resealed. Personally I don't bother with the OOBE or resealing as my clients pay me to customize their system so it's ready to run but I still don't use Windows Update to bring a clients machine up to date until I've applied all the updates that I already have. I have a 5m/.5m u/d cable & I still don't want to wait for the updates to download every time.
