Have W2K SP4 on a refurb HP Vectra. O/S was installed by wholesaler.
When I adjust the sound volume, either master and/or individual, e.g. wave,
it does not change the sound volume which is
at maximum all the time.
W2K identified the integrated sound card as Intel 82801BA/BAM AC97 Audio
Controller - 2445.
Any suggestions to get control back?
I always used external speakers with their own Volume Controls.
I like the ones best that have a (wired) remote control...
(Cambridge, Altec, etc...)
