Just been given a pile of old files to convert to .doc for someone and wondered if anyone knows of a filter that can be used allowing Lotus .lwp and .sam files to be opened in Word.

You didn't mention which version of Office so I'll ass-u-me 2k3. If it were me I'd download the MSFT conversion pack at <http://download.microsoft.com/download/3/1/f/31f1336a-4efa-489a-8286-7e8bba6f1105/oconvpck.exe> & the closest thing in there is the ability to "recover text from any file". Chances are he'll have to reformat the text anyway.

Word has a converter for .sam (Lotus AmiPro) word processor files, so you should be able to install the converter for those. Not sure about the .lwp files.
