A warning to all,

I was asked to 'fix' a clients system -

The system was a re-install job onto a HP system.

The re-install had been done from an image with Mozanilla/firefox,
and .. had 2 users - the normal user one - with password login,
and an admin level one with no password!

Fixed that as soon as .

Then..
Following an 'Office install' to properly, and fully install Office from the
clients CD

The next stage is to get the latest fixes from MS.

No way if I'm not using IE and validation process for the OS

The OS image was - according to MS not a valid install as the licence code
for that install was a ripped one, already activated
But that's up to the company to take up with the people they got in to do
the original re-install ...
Good old Yellow Pages !

P.S.
Yes - I could have used the bypass process,
or called MS and by quoting the code stuck to the case tried to get them to
accept the system -
but why should I present myself as willing to break the law,
when the client can go buy a proper licensed copy of windows
or called me in to restore the system in the first place.
