Actually I'm not booting from either SCSI or SATA, but from the IDE. I just
can't get it to boot even to the IDE without disconnecting either the SCSI RAID
drives or the SATA drive. I can leave the cables connected to the controllers
but it will not boot to the IDE with both SCSI drives AND SATA drives connected
to their controllers at the same time.

Today is a moment for you to clip yet another strand from
the rope of earth, so that when he returns you won't be tied up.
