Agreed but the DVP-642 will read & play some data disks. I can get ~1000 mp3s to a disk. I have no idea how many JPGs but tons of them that are slide show viewable. So my point is some stand alones will play data disks but without the make & model we can't find out yet Sam should have this crucial info.

The dvr is a sylvania dvr90vf
Video help says it is too new .
No reviews.

Do I understand the comments, that if I did not close it , it might play?
I did make a DVD that plays.
In Nero I used slide show.
I will have to play with it some.
As it played random for a while and then it played in sequence for a while.
Sam
