Hi Rich

I am on comcast and 1 email acct. got over 200+ spam a day and I complained to comcast and they suggested trying the webmail and reporting the spam by the report button. I made notes of the names and addresses of the spam letters, and once they were reported did not receive any more from that name and address some came from the same Isp but with different names. The spam load after three weeks was reduced to 6 or 8 per day, this puts it back in line with my other accts. I would like to do better but this is passable.

Hi,

Been wondering, if reporting SPAM via webmail does any good?

At least Comcast & Earthlink have that option. But I'm wondering if it does any good. Has anyone been able to determine that, or at least ask them?

It takes extra time to first open Webmail page, spot the obvious SPAM and mark it, then report it.

Maybe it's just for show, and to make you feel like there's some filter development being done, based on what the current SPAM crop is.

Regards,

Rich
