I borrowed a cable for my E815 from a friend and got the Mobile Phone Tools
software from Motorola and was able to get my laptop to connect to the Net
and I am not signed up with Verizon for this service (but I do have V-Cast)
and it looks as tho I'm not paying for it either, was a piece of cake after
getting DUN on the phone to work. You have to type in a code using the key
pad quite fast or it does not take. Connect speeds are not any where near
DSL but a hell of a lot faster than dial-up.

Subject: Cell Phones online

There was a discussion a while ago about getting online using a laptop & a
cell phone. I ordered & just received DataPilot USB & software from Westside
Cellular:
http://www.westsidecellular.com/store/index.html

It was very easy to install & connect. I now have internet access thru my
Verizon cell phone & my laptop. They sent the correct USB cable & the
DataPilot software. It gave me 2 ways to connect thru Verizon Wireless. One
was the way that Wayne was using (I can't remember what it was). But I
remembered it when I saw it listed, & as far as I can tell, I'm getting this
service without paying their rediculous fee.

Just wanted to let those know about this that were discussing it on the
previous thread. If you haven't signed over to Verizon's overpriced
connection "con", you may like to check this out.
