The rules:
If your XP product key is from an OEM license you must use an OEM CD to
re-install.
I have found this to be the breakdown (not including the corporate etc.
versions some of you speak of):
Windows XP Pro could be on either of 3 CD's, OEM, Full or Upgrade and you
have to use the right one.
Windows Home could be on either of 3 CD's, OEM, Full or Upgrade and you have
to use the right one.
Again, outside of the corporate etc. versions I see 6 different CD's
covering Home and Pro for the typical user.
