Rick, I have Panda (till 12-10-2010) and it had a problem so tech support
advised to uninstall and reinstall. That is where that one came from. Do you
think I could just leave it alone or does it need to be addressed? As far as
*HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet\Main\Local page*, I ran regedit, Search
(Cntrl F) turned up nothing, manually went to HK Local
Machine\Software\Microsoft and that is as far as I can get, I have no plain
*Internet*, I have 'Internet Account Manager", "Internet Connection Wizard",
"Internet Domains" and "Internet Explorer". Because of this I can't get to
Main\Local Page to see the value. I had a not so legal version of Windows XP
Prp that a friend gave me, discovered this while trying to get critical
updates from M/S, so debugged, reformatted and reinstalled the XP Home that
came with PC. Could that be part or the answer to the question?
Thank you for your time
Robbie

This is my second attempt at posting this to the list. Don't know if it
got lost in the duplicate shuffel. I ran "Windows Live Saftey Center -
>Beta Version" scan and all errors were corrected except the following
'3'. Could someone help with what to do with them, how to handle them >or
just leave them alone. After M/S corrected all but these, they offered no
remedy to address these.
#1) 'COM\Active X' (1error)
HKCR\AppID\{ADED8BFD-AAC5-4A59-BB70-2F0A9C61C2AF}.
#2 & #3) (Same error for) 'System Software' & 'User Software'
(1error/each) HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet\Main\Local page.
>Have been getting a few error message/dialogue page "Internet Explorer
has encountered a problem and needs to shutdown, Send report. >Happens
when trying to open and watch movie previews on Yahoo.
Thank you,
The first is the AppID for Panda Titanium 2006, did you have this and
uninstall it? You can google with that ID and find directions for removing
everythin associated to Panda.
The last two could indicate a browser hijack, not sure. You'd need to
check it out, did you go check out the registry entries to see what they
are set to? Mine is set to %SystemRoot%\system32\blank.htm
