I have a laptop with a fresh image on it, that I put on via corpnet and PXE
boot.

Beat me now, but I forgot the password! That said, I can boot with W 98
floppy, but it does not recognize CD drive.

I need that to reimage via CD.

When inserting CD, no lights on drive, and no spinup of CD. When I attempt
to boot first from CD in bios, it skips over it and goes to booting from HD,
which needs pwd. I suspect that the cable is disconnected, but don't know
for sure.

Won't recognize USB CD drive which I tried either, with W98 boot disk.

Any ideas on how to tell that the CD is good or bad, without paying the
Geeks $59?

Thanks
