A neighbor has a weird problem on her XP2 machine.
Intermittently, when she opens a Lotus 1-2-3 file via "My Documents", she gets
an error-reporting screen and the file also opens in 1-2-3. (too bad the error text file
is deleted when it is sent!)
However, all of her Lotus Smart Suite icons and the PowerChute icon from the
systray have disappeared. Rebooting gets them back.
I tried opening the file by opening 1-2-3 first and by clicking on the file in
Windows Explorer and Total Commander but was unable to cause the error.
Also, I could open a LWP file via "My Documents" without error.
She has Norton Internet Security, Spy Sweeper, SureCleaner and Windows Defender
running.
Any troubleshooting suggestions?
