OKay, will be travelling in California between San Francisco and LA later
this summer and need some help selecting some software for the trip.

I've been told by my SO, that I can't bring a computer, not even a small one,
but PDA's are okay.

I have available an Compaq Ipaq 3600 series, running PPC2k2 and a Sharp
Zaurus SL-5500 running Open Zaurus 3.5.3 and a second SL-5500 running on the
Sharp Rom. I have a Haicom 303MMF CF gps receiver

http://www.haicom.com.tw/gps303.shtml

I also have cf and pcmcia sleeves for the Ipaq and various sizes of cf and sd
cards from 32mb up to 1gb available.

Now I want to have maps loaded for the area we'll be travelling along and
have turn by turn voice directions. I've looked at Tom-Tom which comes
highly recommended, but it's supported hardware list no longer lists that
Ipaq 3600 anymore. Many of the other software packages I saw, also don't
support my model of Ipaq or the Zaurus.

Based on the above, what do folks recommend? I don't plan on buying a new pda
for this or a standalone gps unit.

I may be able to sneak my small (10" screen) Thinkpad 240 laptop with me, but
failing that, I want an option using my pda(s).
