I tried out True Image recently to back up a laptop to DVD's.
Trouble is, that to do this, and the subsequent restore you
either needed software that made a DVD-R look like a writeable
device, or you needed to write to a rewriteable DVD (id, DVD-RW).
That was version 8, which isn't that old. I've heard version 9
doesn't have this problem, but sort of lost interest and used
Ghost instead.
