Karenware dirprnt - SHA1 or just MD5 hash - to a file
then use excel (or a database facility) to sort and compare the new list(s)
against the old list on the hash, for differences in name/date with the same
hash and then on filename for changes in the hash value
after generating the report(s) ( sort the entries as required ),
replace/update the old list with the new one

I do something similar to check for duplicate content with changed dates,
and/or file names or locations
and check for changes/ re-occurrences of stuff that is on archive media
'cos all I need is the list of names and hash values

However - do allow for short files to have the same hash values as the may
legitimately contain the same data - as may multiple shortcuts
