When you have another computer attached then yo will have a
network. but to see the other computer to will have to allow
it to be seen and contacted by the other machine otherwise it

Are you saying that if there's only one computer connected to the
router, it (the computer) will not appear in My Network Places? I
just checked on my wife's Home XP and even with my computer
unplugged from the router, her shared drives/folders appear.
