Hi, all --

I decided to give Google Desktop another try (I like the Yahoo/ X1 version better, although it's not as pretty as the others), and in the installation it fussed at me that it had to turn off Windows Messenger. I have Windows Messenger permanently turned off (at least so I think). I kept getting error messages that Google DT couldn't load properly at startup, so I uninstalled it, and again got messages about turning off Windows Messenger.

I looked at my Windows Messenger settings, and they have it listed as Disabled.

So what I want to know is, What's going on with Google Desktop? Does it have some intrinsic connection with Windows Messenger? Is this why it couldn't load on startup?

Thanks to all --

Keep cool --
