Hi Everyone,

Just got back off vacation and figured I've given you folks six weeks of
rest, so that's enough <smile>.

I have a couple of things I'd like to check into that I discovered on the
road.......just yesterday, as a matter of fact!

1. Stopped at an RV park yesterday afternoon which had WiFi.
Connected and downloaded all my mail. Then got on my browser
(IE6) to do something and it kept killing my connection. It got to the
point that I could not even connect, period! Got the message that
possible my signal was too weak.......which it wasn't. BTW, no
username or password was required.

I contacted the park owner with whom I had conversed earlier and he
offered to check it out for me, telling me that a number of RVers were
connected at the time. Went to the office and he fiddled around with my
laptop for a while and also could not get it to connect. His laptop and
the desktops were both connected.

I then tried to connect via "qnc" using my cell phone and could not. The
error I got there was "Access was denied because the username and/or
the password was invalid on the domain.

I know Wayne uses qnc, so he should know how it should work.

POINTS: The night before I was connected via "qnc". The night before
that, I was connected via wireless.

My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 5100 using Win XP-Home SP2 and a
Linksys Wireless-G 2.4 GHz Adapter.

Just tried qnc again and got the same invalid password/username error.
Thought maybe because I was on "extended network" last night that
might have been the problem.

Thanks for any help.

I might go on vacation again in a few years when I save up enough
money for Diesel <smile>. Thankfully we were "visiting" friends a lot
this time and not driving and staying at RV parks all the time.

Regards,

Jim
