I found a simple low tech solution to my frozen iPod without losing
any data on it.
One day my ipod was just frozen solid when iForgot (pun intended here folks)
to eject it from iTunes
so I figured that I'll just let the battery drain completely and then recharge
it to reset it again and
voila no more freeze up and all the data was still there since its all stored
on the HD inside.
This may work for any model ipod that you may have.
