Okay, I am back at square one where IE 6 is concerned, I uninstalled IE6 and
am back to IE5 on this machine, running the installed from the web or the
installer from files I downloaded a few years back for win9x and 2k, all fail
with this error

    Installation Requirements
There is not enough disk space to install internet explorer
once installation is complete Windows Update will only require 429542680 KB
of disk space, but to complete the process an additional 14000kb of space
is
needed. This space will become available again after Windows Update Setup
has
    completed.

You need to have '4295556680'KB free on drive C.

Please free up some hard-disk space, and then click Next. Or Click back to
change your installation options or folder.

Next does nothing, it's either back or cancel.

I found this in relation to the problem

/browse_frm/thread/10ab7fb6deeda6d5/c08d24a58d950aa5%23c08d24a58d950aa5>

but browsing through all the disks I have, I can't seem to find anything with
a full version of IE6 on it.

Just tried it again with the Windows Update CD from Feb 2004 that MS put out,
all goes well until it says setup must download some files from the internet
to do the IE6 install, click next and message above somes up.

Suggestions???
