Hi gang,

There's probably a simple answer to this problem, but I can't get a handle
on it.

My step-mother had an e-machine that quit working. She gave it to my son,
who's better with boxes than me, to repair. Fried chipset (actual hole burned
in it), bad PS (fan inop), mouse and keyboard dead.

Now: New Asus Mobo, new PS, new MS wireless KB & optical mouse, new XP Pro.

It's back home new and there's a PROBLEM: Screen saver won't work.
I only live six blocks away so now I get the job.

I have tried different screen savers, power settings to "always on" and
"never" turn anything off, changed hibernate, changed delay settings, etc, etc,

etc.
The .scr files are all in C:\WINDOWS\System32.

It's got me stumped .................. help!
