anyone here can help?

I have bought cheaply a Samsung CLP 500. It is not very old. Just had
a set of new toner cartridges (for Hugh G's benefit). The display
shows two alternate errors, they are 'Tracking belt error' and 'lever
unlocking error'. I am assured that it was in working order. I don't
want to spend money on it at the moment if I don't have to as I can
get my money back if there is no easy fix, however, I would like to
have it working now that I have got it. The user guide and fault
finding just keeps refering you back from one fault finding chart to
the other. Bit useless really.
