You have AVG and Norton installed on the same Win9x machine?

Also, you know the "fool me once, fool me twice" thing?

Uninstall/re-install TCP-IP.
And/or repair winsock.

Subject: Socket is not connected

Ok, now I'm trying to clean up an old Win98SE, but when I try to update any
malware programs, I get Socket Error#10057 Socket is not connected. I have
turned AVG completely off and can surf the internet, but cannot update any
apps. Is there a way to repair?? Can't find anything on google. Heck, I
can't even run Spybot because it says I need to run the updater first.. I
can't update AVG either. This PC has been sitting for a while.
