Before windows initializes, do you see the the boot-up character mode screen?
When the monitor goes blank, have you pressed the "Auto" button to cause it to automatically adjust? It shouldn't require that, and if pressing it doesn't help, and you unplug it and immediately (without rebooting or turning the computer off/on) plug in the CRT monitor and that works, then I'd say you have a warranty / RMA request for Hyundai. Or if within the return-to-store time period, return to the store for refund or replacement. We've swapped out a large glass tube monitor for an inexpensive Hyundai L-90D+ 19" flat panel, and all works well, _except_ when booting into safe mode. At that juncture, the screen goes blank, and the monitor says it is losing sync. The video card is some nVideo GeForce Ti4200 AGP 8X card that seems generally capable. The monitor properties say it is plug and play, I can change the resolution in the usual properties->settings sort of way. It currently is running at 60Hz and 1024x768, but can go up to 1280x1024 at 75Hz and down to 800x600. Any ideas on what might be happening, or how to fix it? -- ---------------------------------------- The WIN-HOME mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software.
