Subject: how to identify unknown devices?

I reconstituted my daughter's computer onto a newer motherboard with
similar, but not exactly the same configuration (from version 2.0 of
a Shuttle XPC to version 3.0), and Windows XP obligingly reconfigured.
However, some devices weren't recognized. Namely, three USB devices.
I know one of them is a remote control for the ATI All-in-wonder vid. card,
and one the other two is likely the USB memory card reader. Another might
be the "SATA RAID" driver.

All that device manager is willing to share with me is the encoded
vendor id (CLS_ID). Can you suggest a quick method to determine the
make/mfg/type of these "unknown" devices so that I can search
for the proper drivers?
