Vista doesn't use boot.ini, it will set up its own boot manager.
Since you've already burned the DVD, start it up from within
Windows XP in order to preserve existing drive letters. If you
boot from the DVD, Vista will swap drive letters, making itself C:
and your XP partition becomes D:.
I tried the latter method once, but never again; too confusing.
