Hi Folks
Once upon a time I had an old SCSI flatbed scanner from TRUST but I think it was
made by a company whose name started with a Mustek....
I used Paint Shop Pro with this and the scanner "window" had all sorts of
controls like lighten, darken, DPI, B&W, Colour, Photo etc.
This control window survived when I replaced the old scanner with the Canon LiDe
30 USB device.
I used the Canon install CD and had the CS or Canoscan Scangear utilities on the
desktop and they were run from the buttons on the front of the scanner case.
All Ok.
When I installed the OS about Xmas time I lost the nice interface window and
ended up with a CS Scangear Xp style window with the scan platter shown on the
left and 5 bullet points on the right - B&W, Photo, Text, etc.
Today I could not access the scanner in any way so I reinstalled the driver from
the CD. Now I have an even more basic interface with the scanner window shown on
the right and even less options on the left.
What the Frigging hell is happening?
Anyone know of a better scanner driver for this unit or if not drivers an
interface window..............?
