Make sure your Background Intelligent Tranfser Service is running in the Services section under Administrative Tools. That has created problems for me in the past, but I am on XPHome. Jim

The autoupdate icon in the system tray showed the same updates ready for installation, told it to go ahead, all failed again (around 29), rebooted and tried again several times, same problem, somewhere along the way on shutdown, it gave the choice to shutdown and install updates, did that at least 4 times and got most of the updates installed, now go back to windows update site, still 8 more critical updates, same failure message when trying to install all 8 as a group or individually. The only other software on the machine is NAVCE 8.1. We just got Client Security 3.xx but won't be able to deploy that for a few weeks. Any ideas on what the heck is going on? I've not seen anything quite like this before. I've seen discussions on failing updates on list, but not quite like this.... The current updates that are failing are KB911280 KB896424 KB901017 KB922616 KB911927 KB921883 KB920214 -- Harondel J.
