I've been looking for a couple of hours but I cannot put my finger on
the essential differences between the Pentium D "with Dual Core
Technology" and a dual core processor.
Can someone help? Thanks.
Try Google with your question "differences between the Pentium D "with
Dual Core Technology" and a dual core processor" and the very first
hit should tell you everything you need to know.
Good search string! However, that answer leaves me more confused than
ever. If you have a dual core processor with hyperthreading (and all
dual core Pentium processors have hyperthreading, right?), the OS thinks
there are four CPUs? So why does he say, "Of course having two real CPUs
is far more efficient than using HyperThreading technology..."? You have
two real CPUs in the D and in the dual core processor, right?
