vmware server is free, workstation isn't. I THINK MS's virtual pc
doesn't support usb, which seems pathetic

MS VPC2004SP1 does not support USB internal to the VM...
It will allow you to map a "system" USB drive into the VM,
but that is not even CLOSE TO direct support, and screws up
the whole idea of being "IN" a VM... More so if you use the un-do disk...
Even though people are screeming their heads off, MS does not
seem to "get it"...  (It is free, and "good enough"...)

Side Question: In VmWare, stuff on the USB drive stays on the USB
drive, correct?  If so, is that really all that "different"?
