Bummer. I'm tend to think the CPU is slightly newer than what is
supported by the MB revision, or the BIOS version...

I missed if you checked those, and if they actually did match...
I sent a link to pictures of where to look for that info...

My three VERY similar MBs all have different "maxed out"
CPU speeds from the model additions they made as engineering
changes while in production...
