Thanks a lot Ken, unfortunately the version I need(XP) is only a 6 month
trial...I may try it anyway to see if it alleviates some of the headaches
for a while.

you might also install these drivers -- they fixed my wmp 10 that would not
play avi's when the ms codec packs would not
