Also, here at the resort, there is a DSL service. Can't connect with it
also.
I don't use (or travel) with wireless... (No answer here for that...)
Ask them if the DSL is coming from a router using DHCP.
If so, it should be easy to wire up to it, and connect...
Then, be sure to run (from a cmd box) ipconfig /all (to see the current
settings),
then
ipconfig /release
then
ipconfig /renew to latch onto their gateway...
I can bring ANY machine in here and get it on the Internet in seconds...
If the above commands fail with errors, try ipconfig /? for the proper
commands for your level of patches (if any)...
If none of the above works, other settings might be "wrong"...
