My neighbor has two printers plugged into his laptop. Suddenly one
printer works intermittently and the other one seems to be fried -- you
cannot even turn the power on!
Add to that the fact that his wireless mouse no longer works (the
transceiver is a USB device) on his laptop but does work on my computer,
and it looks to me like there's a hardware problem in the USB system of
his laptop.
What could be bad with a USB port that would fry a printer's power
supply??? Partial short maybe? How would one test for that?
Thanks.
